Taking Stock

Making: Lots of pretty photos — hence, the blog silence.

Cooking: Everything from our garden. I briefly mentioned our backyard garden in this post because I was scarred by all the creepy crawlies residing in it, but now it’s all good. Because cherry tomatoes straight from the vine are delicious and well worth it.

Drinking: Coconut water… and it’s nasty. Brandon’s parents took us to Costco while they were visiting, and we thought it was a good idea to buy a massive pack of coconut water. Too bad we both hate it. Serious question… why does it taste salty?

Reading: The Giver. I’m not sure how I’ve missed reading this book over the years, but I figure I should finish it before the movie comes out.

Wanting: Our wood floors. We finally ripped up all of the nasty carpet in my office and our wood floors are getting installed on the 15th. Excited is an understatement.

Looking: Forward to vacation.

Playing: With my puppies.

Wasting: Too much time creating a photography welcome magazine. I always get stuck on the little details.

Wishing: For a massage.

Enjoying: Our new friends in the area.

Waiting: To try out the new lens I ordered.

Liking: Our house. It’s feeling more like “home” every day.

Wondering: What to hang on the walls of my office.

Loving: Wedding photography inspiration. I’m shooting my first wedding in October and I’ve been getting inspiration from books like Style Me Pretty Weddings, The Knot, and Fine Art Wedding Photography.

Hoping: Said wedding goes smoothly.

Marvelling: At the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They’re so close to us!

Smelling: The fresh air of the ‘burbs. And puppy frito feet. You know what I’m talking about.

Wearing: Lots of comfortable tees from Madewell.

Following: The advice of Jasmine Star. She’s kind of awesome.

Noticing: Cooler weather and the leaves a-changing.

Feeling: Motivated.

Bookmarking: Evelyn Henson art prints. They are gorgeous and unique.

Giggling: At these cute kitties.

I hear ya on the coconut water! My solution is to add it to a smoothie cuz seriously that stuff is gross! I think it tastes like the drink they make you consume before a colonoscopy =)

That’s an awesome idea! I’ll try it in a smoothie.

I got lucky (ok, no one’s lucky when getting a colonoscopy) and had to drink the tasteless powder with Gatorade. Still an unpleasant experience. ha!

Garden food is da bomb seriously nothing better! I hate gardening but at the same time I can’t wait to have a garden so I can have all that fresh produce at my fingertips!

I am not a fan of coconut water as well, I have found putting it in smoothies helps mask the flavor!

    • http://www.postcardsfromrachel.com/ Postcards from Rachel

I’ll have to try that because I think it tastes slightly like salt alone? Ick….
