weekend postcards #13 | a place to meet new bloggers

Description of Photo

Remember 5 months ago in Florida when I told you all that I was going to stop thinking about the future and enjoy the present? Yeah… about that. I would really like to fast forward to the middle of February so we can get on the road and head to our new home in Virginia. And this is exactly why I’m excited for our corporate rotation to end — it’s hard for me to enjoy the last month of living in any city because I’m consumed with thoughts of our impending move. Then I annoy Brandon and he tells me to stop being so antsy.

While I’m dreaming about our short trip to Virginia next weekend to see our house for the first time (in-person), here’s Christina from Route Bliss. She has sponsored my blog for a few months now and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her!

Christina uses her blog to share gorgeous travel photography, healthy recipes, useful destination guides, and more.

Focusing on the present is hard sometimes, especially when there’s a big event coming up soon! I would also like to fast forward a few weeks, but I guess that’s impossible. I hope time flies by for you and you’ll be in your new home before you know it :)

I agree with Laura. Sometimes there are just things to look forward to! Good luck to you with the upcoming move. :)

I also have a hard time when I know a move is coming up so I make a list of all my favorite places or things I would be bummed if I never would have done while living somewhere and it helps me focus on the present.

That’s exactly what we’re doing now! Making lists of things we want to do/see always helps.

What part of VA are you moving too? That’s my home state :-) Good luck with the move!
