Since moving to Boston and having to revert back to public transportation, I’ve come to the conclusion that one of my biggest inconveniences is refilling my prescription. The headache usually begins when I realize I should have refilled my prescription days ago, because do I pay attention to the reminder on my paper calendar? No. I’m not organized enough to even look at that thing. Then I have to dig around for the Walgreens phone number because we’ve moved so many times in the past year, I don’t have that information saved. Finally, I have to wait for my husband to come home because he has the car — unless I want to hop on the T and try and find the pharmacy myself. Phew! It’s a long process. If my story sounds similar to yours, have no fear because I’m about to let you in on a little secret. Walgreens makes medication refills simple and stress-free with their many refill options available online. It’s important to take advantage of this because we all need a little extra help when life gets hectic, right? Right.
Here’s how it works:
The Walgreens website has an option to make an online pharmacy account to refill prescriptions. You simply enter all of your information into the required fields and voila! You have an account. Ok, so this is where it gets really cool — or maybe I’m just a nerd. The website showed all of my prescriptions and had different options such as view status and price, auto-refill, contact your doctor to refill an expired prescription, refill reminder emails and texts, and more. I finally feel like I have the resources to really manage my health thanks to #WalgreensRX.
Since I can also use the Walgreens smartphone app and have my prescriptions mailed directly to my house with their free shipping option, Walgreens has a very important pharmacy chat option to express any concerns you may have, or to ask a pharmacist about potential side effects. Do you feel less stressed about presciptions and maintaing your health? You should!
Like I said before, we move a lot for my husband’s career and keeping track of everything can be difficult and frustrating. Now I can manage my prescription, B’s prescriptions, and even our dogs’ prescriptions with the click of my mouse. Thank you, Walgreens!
How do you keep track of your prescriptions?
