istanbul, turkey | you should go

This is the part where I wrap up my Istanbul posts and urge you to book a trip. Because if you’re interested in visiting a vibrant city with beautiful mosques and their minarets painting the skyline, bustling spice markets and rug shops, and a city that has a certain energy about it that’s contagious, Istanbul is for you. Got it?

I think the best part was experiencing something so different from our own culture. Our trip seemed exotic because of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar.

While you’re visiting Istanbul, Turkey don’t just visit the main tourist attractions. Explore the streets, go where the locals shop, and take it all in!

Would you want to travel there?

The grand bazaar was hands down my favorite location in Istanbul. I could spend a whole day there. Great photos!

Turkey has been just below Greece on my travel list for years and years. Well, I went to Greece last fall so now it’s number one. Last month my college roommate was telling me all about her Istanbul trip and now you’re posting all these gorgeous pictures. I think the universe is trying to tell me that it’s time.

Istanbul is about as close to the middle east as I would want to travel now, but it is definitely on my ever-growing wanderlust list.

You probably mentioned this is another post but what do you think the best time of year to travel to Istanbul would be? Sam and I were planning a trip in mid-October and Istanbul is one of our options! xx

I have never been but know other people that have been and they have had some good experiences.

I love the picture of the spices – I bet the aroma was amazing!

I have wanted to go to Istabul since I did a social studies paper on it in high school(lonnngg time ago, hehe). Your pictures are gorgeous and definitely remind me of the reasons why I want to go there. Especially the part about wandering the streets and going where locals go. ;)

Okay, it’s going on the list! I’m going to need a whole notebook for my ‘Want To Travel To’ list pretty soon.

Istanbul looks so nice! I’ve been wanting to travel there for a while (not for the mosques though, I live just in front of the mosque of Casablanca, one of the biggest in the world ;) ). Your photos do remind me a bit of Morocco! Thanks for sharing :)
    Have a great weekend!
