If you follow me on Twitter, I’m sure you’ve seen angry tweets when my time of the month rolls around. Yes, yes, I overshare on social media because for one day each month, I want to rip out my insides and become a man. Since some of you probably know my cycle (awkward) and the fact that I get nauseous and have sprawled out on far too many bathroom floors, let’s talk about protection.

U by Kotex tampons

When I’m sweating through my shirt, crying and forcing my husband to buy me every single chocolate bar at Publix, the last thing I want to worry about is an embarrassing leak; that’s why I’m so particular about the tampons I purchase. When I received a box of U by Kotex Sleek Tampons — just in time for my monthly meltdown, I might add — I was pleasantly surprised. U by Kotex Sleek Tampons are full-sized and easy to grip for “just right” placement, they’re slim and comfortable, and are available in Regular, Super and Super Plus absorbencies. On top of all that tampon greatness, the packaging is fun and pretty. Menstrual cycles aren’t fun and they’re sure not pretty so don’t you want your packaging to possess all of those qualities? I sure do.

I love U by Kotex! I have been using it for almost a year now. They are a little more expensive than others but for me its worth it. The travel size ones are great and the full size has the best grip! I would never go back. I also love the liners they sell, they actually stick on all day and almost never give me and wedgie problems :) I would highly recommend these! I tend to pick a color based on my outfit or mood and it makes it that much more bearable! (I have never had a problem with these leaking or anything icky like that) Hope this also helps anyone reading!

That’s all I’ve ever used is kotex. I have stocked up that’s for sure. and now a days being as light as i am to the point I rarely have one but yet still have pain and off. and some time heavy bleeding. all depends. but I do love kotex. Everything else is just yuck. I hate other brands of tampons. I tried these the other day and I like em. If you’re having trouble issues with Aunt Flo as I call her. I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of this. typed this other the day when I had a visitor. quite funny. LOL

You get nauseous with a lot of pain? Could you have endometriosis? Getting nauseous is a symptom of that. Good luck with the tampons!

Like the above commenter, I was just going to suggest speaking to someone about endo. I was diagnosed 12 years ago, and this year was diagnosed with adenomyosis, and the resounding message from doctors I meet with it that periods shouldn’t be THAT painful. I have such an awful time that I’ve stopped using tampons because they’re just too uncomfortable, but it’s always good to know what works.
