life’s little moments

Life's Little Moments - Life Lately
1// Totally ate all of that
2// Colorful macarons make me happy
3// Malcolm has the cutest sleepy face in all the land
4// Ollie giving me directions — he’s bossy
5// Polka dot pants!
6// DIY bath salts you have to try
7// Found a tea shop — this could be dangerous
8// Mimosa addict
9// A much needed reminder

Lately I’ve been realizing that our dogs are quirky little things. Ollie has a temper like I’ve never seen before and throws a legitimate tantrum if he doesn’t get enough attention. This usually involves collapsing on the floor, rolling on his back and shrieking while squirming around. Our neighbors probably think we beat our pets. Anyway, then when we do pet him, he tinkles. It’s great, really.

Malcolm is as gentle as ever — until he gets excited and tries to nip our faces. He’s never actually bit us before but he does this Westie air nibble that’s cute and scary at the same time. Other than that issue, he’s such a smart little boy. When he stands in front of me and barks while staring {creepy stare!}, I always know whether he wants food, a bathroom break or the TV turned on. His personality is hilarious. He also enjoys living room yoga in his spare time. Downward dog, furry bum in the air!

I’m not sure why I’m writing so much about my dogs. Maybe it’s because I get Facebook notifications every time an owner surrender is on the euthanasia list and it seriously kills me. I don’t understand how you could surrender your best friend of eight years. It makes me sad. I plan on having Ollie and Malcolm for the rest of their “grumpy old man” lives.

Today I’m introducing Kaylin from Stay Blonde, Ski Local. What can I say about Kaylin? Well, she’s kind of really funny. Every time I’m having a bad day {aka whenever I want to burn my laptop and delete this stupid blog} I read one of her posts. She wrote a post titled Lady Lumps and it’s all about female stereotypes. Hilarious and definitely a must-read… because this post is ME. And you?

Why did you start blogging?
Honestly, I started blogging because my best friend started a blog, and she had a hair brain idea that I should too. “You’re so funny she said, it’d be so fun.” So without doing any research, or having read a single blog I started Stay Blonde, Ski Local (SBSL) for short.

What do you hope to achieve because of blogging?
I want to be a part of something greater than myself. I’d like to grow to be part of the blogging community that is introduces me to new things, teaches me about myself, shows me how to have fun, and gives me more insight and appreciation for life and the small things. I’d like to share my life (well parts of it) with you all, to be honest, true, and dedicated to who I am and what I stand for and make new awesome inspiring friends along the way.

Haha. I LOVE downward dog and furry bum in the air. I always tap it with my foot and say “boop!” Please tell me more about Ollie and Malcolm. I can’t get enough of them :)

Great post! I love hearing about your cute little dogs!

If Malcolm or Ollie are looking for a girlfriend, little miss Stella is available – and also has quite the quirky personality :-)

  • Nadine

Hey, that girl you introduced us to looks familiar. Oh wait, it’s because she’s my bestie. And I don’t know how you can see those notifications. It would put me over the edge. Archie is my first child and he’ll be spoiled rotten his whole life.

One of our dogs is a total diva and throws tantrums as well. I love hearing about your dogs. Also, I love that I’m not the only mimosa addict in the world.

your dogs are adorable. I would love to have a dog for our country walks, but right now two kids make enough messes to clean up after. ;) I’ll live vicariously through your super cute doggie photos.

I really enjoyed reading about your dogs. I have (well she is my Mum’s really) a super quirky border collie called Maisie. She is just so cute and has these really funny moments throughout the day (one I love is she gets very excited when I open a fizzy water bottle). She is a real lift to the day and I constantly take pictures of her – even made three movies on YouTube!

Great post – love the pictorial collage at the top.

I have the polka dot pants too!! They’re great. And your dogs sound hilarious. I laughed out loud at the temper tantrum. My dog sighs repeatedly if we ignore him, or if we tell him “no”. It makes me laugh every time.
