friday’s letters + a world wide giveaway

Melbourne, Florida church
Dear Life, As I type in bed, next to my snoring puppies and husband, I realize that I’m completely content. We may not have a forever home or any idea of where we’ll end up after moving to Boston, but I couldn’t be happier. I’m blessed to have a supportive husband who constantly pushes me to find new hobbies and enjoy life to the fullest, and I finally have the time to really figure out who I am as a person. I’ve grown so much since leaving DC and I wouldn’t change a thing. Dear Florida, On a less serious note — holy insects! First ants in the kitchen after a heavy rain storm, then love bugs all over our car, and today… today was a nightmare. I found a cockroach the size of my thumb on our floor. Of course I was too disgusted to do anything so B released it into the wild on his lunch break {we wouldn’t want PETA yelling at us, would we? Stupid PETA}. This Midwest girl can’t handle bugs the size of kittens. It’s just not right. Dear Florida {again}, Sorry I was mean. Sometimes you’re really pretty and fun. I like taking photos of random things I find here.

Dear Husband, You’re a busy man these days. A full-time job, graduate school, two spoiled dogs and a needy wife. I’d be cranky 24/7 but somehow you always seem happy… no… chipper. I found a good one. And you… well, you found a good one too, I supposeDear Funemployment, It’s a love-hate relationship. Sometimes I feel uber worthless and lazy while laying around the house all day in my tacky pajamas, but on occasion I feel like a Philosopher as I ponder the meaning of life with a cup of tea in hand. Having a lot of spare time is nice but I don’t always use it wisely… damn you, reality television. Dear Readers, Do you want to enter a great giveaway? Look below:

FUNPLOYMENT. You and me both. I think we’ve already discussed this, lol! I’ve definitely been feeling worthless not working. It’s surprisingly hard to not work. Suddenly my husband expects I’m going to be like betty crocker, martha stewart and jillian michaels wrapped into one. (It doesn’t happen.)

And that picture from florida is beautiful.

    I’m glad you’re happy girlie :)

Yes, I feel your pain! A couple weeks back I saw a little line of ants in my bathroom as I was getting out of the shower. I followed said trail and discovered that they had created a home in this old jewelry chest I had in the bathroom closet. Saying there was a swarm of ants, well, is an understatement. I cried as I sprayed it down with bleach trying to rid the infestation. There were so many I just threw the chest away. Needless to say, I thanked Florida for that little treat. I mean who doesn’t want to spend their evening getting rid of ants?

I love you and your funemployment and furmama philosophical ways. Reality tv (especially the Real Housewives series) is a perfectly acceptable way to spend your day.

  • kayleigh maryon

You should list that has your job description. Philosopher and ponderer or the meaning of life.

  • Ashley

Bugs give me the heebie jeebies! Very good of you to release it into the wild… I would have released it to the toilet. lol

Happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend!

Ewww bugs the size of kittens. I normally am fine with bugs but when they start to get as big as my dog, we have problems!

    Fun giveaway, thanks!
