life’s little moments

We made it to San Antonio! My iPhone tells me that since leaving Scottsdale on Saturday, we’ve been in the car for a total of 14 hours. Since we don’t need to be in Florida until the 28th, I’d say we’re on track. We plan on checking out the Riverwalk in a few minutes and then we’re off to Austin to have lunch, and Dallas to spend the night with some family members. The best part about making plans and hotel reservations on the road is that we can decide what we want to do in the moment. The worst part is that sometimes it’s difficult to find a hotel that will allow two dogs to stay. So far, so good.

Since I have wifi right now, I want to share some photos from the Revive Conference:

Revive Conference

Let me just tell you that the speakers were wonderful! Ashely with The Shine Project discussed blogging for a cause, Whippy Cake had helpful hints regarding branding yourself, Kimberly from A Night Owl Blog talked all things Instagram (my obsession), and there were other speakers who shared tips on how to build community. Not only was the conference helpful, but it was fun, too! Meeting new bloggers and being able to network the entire conference was my favorite part. It motivated me and now I want to find another conference asap. I highly suggest finding one in your area!

Well, it’s time to be tourists. Look for photos from the road!

Moseying roadtrips are the best! We’re big fans of Motel 6- they allow pets, don’t care if we have three with us, don’t charge extra, and are both everywhere and cheap! (There are nicer chains that allow pets, but when we’re moving cross-country with three Motel 6 is just the easiest to find.)
Have a great drive today! Years ago I spent several months making regular drives from Atlanta-middle Texas and back- I-20 the whooooooole way. I don’t miss it, that’s for sure!

That conference looks so much fun. I can’t imagine having to be in the car for that long with two pups. It would drive me crazy.
