facts of me

I believe…

…that puppies are the best medicine. Even when they smell funky.
…that travel is more important than “stuff”. Although I do love shopping…
…everyone should shop at farmer’s markets once in a while.
…every dog owner should have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in their medicine cabinet {to induce vomiting, of course}. Malcolm decided to steal my fajita this weekend while I turned my back for two seconds {talent}, which happened to contain a dreaded toxin to dogs: ONIONS! Long story short, we spent around $700 in vet bills. Yep. After two injections of fluid and other countless meds, I wish I would have just made him puke after he scarfed up my lunch like a fat man. ::end rant::
…that laughing until you cry is the best feeling in the world.
…that husbands really do enjoy seeing their wives in sweatpants and zit cream. ::wink wink::
…that spring smells better than any other season.
…that I could probably live off of hummus, guacamole and salsa.
…that avoiding negative people helps you live longer.
…that townhouses are better than single family homes.

I…

…wanted to become a meteorologist when I was in high school.
…have a younger brother and sister {she’s ten years younger than me}.
…love moving around but it’s lonely and stressful sometimes.
…am currently reading the book Divergent and watching a million episodes of 24.
…love Dr. Pepper and green tea.
…refuse to take showers unless the water is scalding hot. Don’t worry, the water heater almost always works — so yes, I bathe on a regular basis. Or do I?
…never work out in a gym. Surprisingly, I find I’m in good shape when I go on hikes. Maybe chewing food and reality TV is good cardio?
…passed out on the DC metro once. As soon as I woke up I kept mumbling about getting to the office {as I was sweating profusely}. A couple of guys carried me off the train, gave me a banana and crackers and then I refused medical attention. And went to work. ‘Cause that’s how I roll.

I laughed at the dog story…I freaked out one weekend when our dog ate a WHOLE bag of Hershey Kisses, wrappers and all. Called the vet and whaddya know, hydrogen peroxide it is! It worked, and we had chocolate flavored, sparkly tinfoil vomit. And he was fine! But I agree, every dog owner should have hydrogen peroxide in their cabinet!

Just stumbled across your blog and I’m so glad I did – it’s beautiful! I did the Facts of Me too, and it was so much fun – I love learning random things about people. I love your facts and agree with a lot of your ‘I believe’ ones. Great to meet you, Rachel! New follower. :-)
